Report a safety issue
Table of contents
We do everything we can to ensure that both our digital files and our physical products are safe. To ensure this we have established a product safety contact point, in line with the General Product Safety Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2023/988, GPSR).
How do you report a problem?
Do you think a product:
-
does not open properly or is corrupted (for digital files),
-
contains harmful code (for digital files),
-
gives misleading or dangerous instructions,
-
is damaged or unsafe (for physical products), or
-
does not match the information we provide,
please contact us immediately via safety@stitchonomy.nl.
What happens after your report?
-
Confirmation – Within 1 working day you will receive a confirmation of your report.
-
Assessment – Within 3 working days we will investigate the issue.
-
Digital products are re-scanned for harmful code and tested in common PDF readers.
-
Physical products are assessed for possible safety risks, defects, or missing warnings.
-
-
Action –
-
If the product is found to be safe, we will let you know.
-
If there is a problem, we will remove the product (temporarily or permanently) from the store and you will receive a safe alternative, replacement file, or refund.
-
-
Intervention by authorities – If the competent authorities ask us to remove or modify a product, we will comply immediately, as required under the GPSR.
Why do we do this?
The GPSR requires providers of products (both physical and digital) to ensure that their products are safe for consumers. This means we carry out checks in advance and must take action after a report or indication points to a possible risk.
We keep a record of all reports and the actions taken so that we can demonstrate compliance with the legal requirements.
Your role as a consumer
By reporting a possible safety issue, you help us and other users. Together we ensure that our products remain safe and reliable.
